"TaxSimple" is a South African digital accounting assistant used by sole proprietors. Subscription cancellations increase after tax filing season in August/September. The product manager wants a short exit survey to find out why users cancel, and a retention screen to encourage pauses instead.
The Brief
Design a 3-question exit survey that captures the root cause of churn and write a contextual recovery email based on the survey selections.
Deliverables
- A 3-question exit survey with multiple-choice options (covering pricing, usability, seasonal needs)
- A retention screen layout description offering alternative actions (e.g. "Pause account for R50/mo instead of cancel")
- A recovery email draft targeting users who selected "too expensive" or "only needed it temporarily"
