The Scenario

Your manager drops a table on your desk showing quarterly sales by region for the last 2 years. She says: "I need to present this to the board in 30 minutes. Give me something I can read aloud."

The Brief

Invent a plausible 8-quarter × 4-region sales table. Then write a 3-paragraph executive summary that tells a story: what happened, why it matters, and what the board should do about it.

Deliverables

  • The raw data table (8 quarters × 4 regions)
  • A 3-paragraph executive summary: (1) the headline insight, (2) the supporting evidence, (3) the recommended action
  • One number you would highlight in bold if this were a slide, and why
