Build a Slide Deck from Data

Design a 5-slide presentation for a non-technical audience from a dataset.

The Scenario

A non-profit helping unemployed graduates wants to present their impact data to corporate sponsors. They have 3 years of data on graduates placed, salaries achieved, and retention rates. The audience is CEOs who will decide whether to continue funding.

The Brief

Design a 5-slide presentation outline. For each slide, specify the headline, the visual (chart or key number), and the talking point. You do not need to build the slides — a detailed outline in Markdown is sufficient.

Deliverables

  • Slide 1: The opening hook (what grabs the sponsor's attention)
  • Slides 2-4: The evidence (each slide makes one point with one visual)
  • Slide 5: The ask (what the non-profit wants and why the data supports it)

Submission Guidance

Each slide should have exactly one point. If you need a second chart on a slide, you have two points — split it.

Submit Your Work

Your submission is graded against the rubric on the right. If you pass, you get a public Badge URL you can share on LinkedIn. There is no draft save, so work offline first and paste your finished response here.
